Azure AKS Setup & Configuration
Azure Kubernetes Service provides managed Kubernetes deeply integrated with Azure Active Directory, Azure Monitor, and Azure Policy. We provision AKS clusters with proper node pool configuration, AAD-backed RBAC, Azure CNI networking, and GitOps-based deployment pipelines.
Need this done for your project?
We implement, you ship. Async, documented, done in days.
What We Deliver
A production-ready AKS cluster with system and user node pools, Azure Active Directory integration for RBAC, Azure CNI or kubenet networking, Azure Key Vault for secrets via CSI driver, Azure Monitor and Container Insights for observability, AGIC (Application Gateway Ingress Controller) or ingress-nginx, and a GitOps pipeline for application deployment.
Node Pools & Scaling
System node pools run cluster add-ons (CoreDNS, metrics-server). User node pools run your workloads with appropriate VM sizes — general-purpose for web services, compute-optimized for CPU workloads, memory-optimized for caches and databases. Cluster autoscaler adjusts node counts. Virtual nodes (ACI) provide serverless burst capacity for peak traffic.
Identity & Security
Azure Active Directory integration provides SSO for kubectl access with group-based RBAC. Managed identities eliminate service principal credential management. Azure Key Vault CSI driver injects secrets as files or environment variables. Azure Policy enforces cluster-wide security baselines — no privileged containers, required resource limits, allowed registries.
Networking
Azure CNI assigns VNet IP addresses to pods for direct communication with Azure services. Network policies (Calico or Azure) control pod-to-pod traffic. Private clusters keep the API server off the public internet. Application Gateway Ingress Controller provides WAF-capable HTTP routing with Azure-native SSL termination.
Observability
Azure Monitor Container Insights provides out-of-the-box metrics, logs, and performance data. We optionally deploy Prometheus and Grafana for teams preferring open-source tooling. Azure Monitor alerts and action groups notify your team via email, Slack, or PagerDuty when issues arise.
