Current Capacity Assessment
We profile your infrastructure under current load: CPU utilization curves, memory pressure, disk I/O saturation, network throughput, database connection pool usage, and cache hit rates. Each resource type gets a utilization score and a headroom estimate. You see exactly how much traffic each component can absorb before hitting its limit.
Growth Modeling
We model capacity demand based on historical growth rates, planned feature launches, marketing campaigns, and seasonal patterns. Linear growth, exponential growth, and step-function growth (viral events) each require different planning strategies. The model outputs projected resource requirements at 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month horizons.
Bottleneck Identification
Your system will not scale uniformly. The database will hit limits before the API servers. The cache layer will exhaust before the database. We identify the scaling bottleneck chain and prioritize investments: horizontal scaling for stateless services, read replicas for database read load, sharding strategy for write load, CDN offloading for static assets.
Forecasting Dashboard
A Grafana dashboard shows real-time capacity utilization alongside projected demand curves. Threshold alerts fire when projected demand intersects current capacity within 30 days. The dashboard includes cost projections for each scaling scenario — so you can budget infrastructure spend alongside engineering headcount. Capacity planning becomes a continuous process, not a quarterly exercise.
