Backups are stored on dedicated storage infrastructure that is physically separate from the compute nodes running your server. This means that even a complete failure of the server hosting your cloud instance does not affect your backup copies. Your data is protected against hardware failure, accidental deletion, software corruption, and any other data loss scenario.

Backup retention is configurable. Keep the last 7 daily backups, the last 4 weekly backups, or define a custom retention policy that fits your needs. Old backups are automatically purged according to your retention settings, keeping storage costs predictable while maintaining the protection history you need.

A snapshot captures the exact state of your server's disk at the moment it is taken, creating a restore point that you can return to at any time. Select the backup or snapshot you want to restore from, confirm the operation, and your server is rebuilt from the backup image. Restore operations typically complete within minutes, depending on the size of the backup. Your server's IP address and network configuration are preserved, so services resume automatically once the restore is complete.
