Dedicated Servers

Offshore Linux Dedicated Servers

Linux is the operating system of choice for the vast majority of server workloads, and for good reason — it is free, stable, secure, and supported by an enormous ecosystem of open-source software. AnubizHost's offshore Linux dedicated servers give you full root access to your choice of distribution, DMCA-ignored hosting policies, and enterprise hardware with no license fees eating into your budget.

Choose Your Distribution

AnubizHost supports all major Linux distributions for dedicated server deployment. Ubuntu Server (22.04 LTS and 24.04 LTS) is our most popular option, offering excellent hardware support, a vast package repository, and the largest community for troubleshooting and documentation. Ubuntu's predictable release cycle and long-term support commitments make it ideal for production servers that need to run reliably for years.

Debian is the foundation that Ubuntu builds upon, and many experienced administrators prefer its conservative approach to packaging. Debian Stable releases are thoroughly tested and exceptionally reliable, making it the distribution of choice for servers where stability trumps having the latest software versions. We offer the current Debian Stable release with backports repository access for newer packages when needed.

For customers who prefer the Red Hat ecosystem, we offer AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux as CentOS replacements. Both distributions provide binary compatibility with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, ensuring that software certified for RHEL runs without modification. We also support Arch Linux, Gentoo, and other distributions via custom ISO installation for customers with specific requirements.

Full Root Access and Control

Every Linux dedicated server comes with full root SSH access. You have complete, unrestricted control over your server — install any software, configure any service, compile custom kernels, set up containers, or run whatever workloads you need. There are no restrictions on what you can do with your server at the operating system level, and no monitoring software that we install without your knowledge or consent.

We provide your initial root password and SSH access details upon provisioning. We strongly recommend immediately setting up SSH key authentication and disabling password login for security. Our managed service tier can handle this initial hardening for you, but even with unmanaged servers, our documentation walks you through the essential security steps for a newly provisioned Linux server.

IPMI/iLO remote management is included with every server, giving you out-of-band access even when SSH is unavailable. If you accidentally misconfigure your firewall, break your network configuration, or need to troubleshoot boot issues, the IPMI console provides a virtual keyboard, video, and mouse connection to your server independent of the operating system or network stack.

Popular Linux Server Workloads

Web hosting is the most common Linux server workload. Nginx or Apache web servers, PHP-FPM, Node.js, Python/Django, Ruby/Rails, and Go applications all run natively on Linux. Our servers provide the CPU performance, memory, and NVMe storage speed to host everything from a single website to a busy hosting platform running hundreds of sites through control panels like CyberPanel, HestiaCP, or custom configurations.

Database servers running MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis benefit from Linux's efficient memory management, mature filesystem options (ext4, XFS, ZFS), and fine-grained performance tuning capabilities. Linux's transparent huge pages, NUMA awareness, and CPU affinity controls allow you to optimize database performance at the operating system level in ways that other operating systems do not support.

Container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes runs exclusively on Linux in production. Our dedicated servers provide the hardware foundation for running containerized applications, whether you use a single-node Docker Compose setup or a multi-node Kubernetes cluster. Linux's cgroup and namespace isolation, OverlayFS storage driver, and native container runtime support make it the only serious choice for container workloads.

Linux Server Configurations

Entry-level Linux servers start with an Intel Xeon E-2236 processor, 32 GB DDR4 ECC RAM, 512 GB NVMe SSD, and 1 Gbps unmetered bandwidth. With no Windows licensing overhead, these servers are our most affordable dedicated hosting option — all your monthly payment goes toward hardware, network, and infrastructure rather than software licensing fees.

Mid-range configurations include Xeon E-2388G or AMD EPYC 7313P processors with 64-128 GB RAM and multi-drive NVMe storage in RAID 1 for production resilience. These servers handle production web applications, medium-sized databases, Docker hosts running multiple containers, and development/staging environments for engineering teams.

High-performance Linux servers feature AMD EPYC 7443P or 7763 processors with up to 512 GB RAM and large NVMe arrays. These machines run demanding workloads: large PostgreSQL or Elasticsearch clusters, busy Kubernetes control planes, CI/CD build servers, or any application that needs significant compute and memory resources. All Linux servers include DMCA-ignored policies, IPMI access, and full root control. No license fees, no restrictions, no content monitoring. Cryptocurrency payments accepted.
