Dedicated Servers

Offshore Storage Dedicated Servers

When you need raw capacity above all else, AnubizHost's storage dedicated servers deliver terabytes of disk space in DMCA-ignored offshore locations. Designed for file hosting, backup repositories, media libraries, and archival storage, these servers maximize storage density while maintaining the performance, redundancy, and privacy protections that AnubizHost is known for.

Massive Storage Capacity

Our storage-optimized dedicated servers are built around high-density drive chassis that accommodate 8, 12, or 24 drive bays. Using the latest high-capacity hard drives — 16 TB, 18 TB, or 20 TB per drive — a single storage server can provide up to 480 TB of raw capacity or approximately 360 TB in a RAID 6 protected configuration. This is enterprise-grade storage at a fraction of what cloud storage providers charge per terabyte.

For customers who need a balance between capacity and performance, we offer hybrid configurations that pair large-capacity HDDs for bulk storage with NVMe SSDs for caching and metadata. ZFS with L2ARC and SLOG devices, or Linux's bcache/dm-cache, can transparently accelerate access to frequently-used data while keeping your total storage cost low by using HDDs for the bulk of your data.

Storage expansion is straightforward. If you outgrow your initial configuration, we can add drives to available bays or provision additional storage servers that connect to your existing infrastructure over a private network. Our team handles the physical installation, and you configure the logical storage layout to match your application's requirements.

RAID Protection and Data Safety

With so much data on a single server, drive failure protection is critical. Our storage servers support hardware RAID via dedicated RAID controllers with battery-backed cache, ensuring that write operations are protected even during power events. RAID 6 provides dual-drive fault tolerance, meaning your array continues operating normally even if two drives fail simultaneously — essential for large arrays where the rebuild time after a single failure can take many hours.

For customers who prefer software-defined storage, we fully support ZFS, which offers checksumming to detect and correct silent data corruption (bit rot), flexible RAID-Z configurations, snapshot capabilities, and built-in compression. ZFS is particularly well-suited for storage servers because its copy-on-write architecture and regular scrubbing ensure long-term data integrity that hardware RAID alone cannot guarantee.

We also stock hot-spare drives in our data centers for rapid replacement. When our monitoring detects a drive entering a degraded state — via SMART metrics and predictive analytics — we can preemptively replace the failing drive before it actually dies, often avoiding a degraded array state entirely. This proactive approach to drive health dramatically reduces the risk of data loss from multi-drive failures.

Use Cases for Storage Servers

File hosting and sharing platforms benefit enormously from storage servers. Services like Nextcloud, Seafile, or custom file sharing applications need vast amounts of storage to accommodate user uploads, and the DMCA-ignored policy ensures that legitimate file sharing is not disrupted by automated takedown requests. With unmetered bandwidth and terabytes of storage, you can build a file hosting platform that scales to millions of files.

Backup and disaster recovery infrastructure requires reliable, high-capacity storage. Use a storage server as an off-site backup destination for your organization's data, running tools like Borg Backup, Restic, or Bacula to maintain encrypted, deduplicated backups that are geographically separated from your production systems. The offshore location adds an extra layer of protection against jurisdictional seizure or legal overreach.

Media libraries, video archives, and content repositories are natural fits for storage servers. Plex or Jellyfin media servers, podcast hosting platforms, digital asset management systems, and large image galleries all need significant storage capacity. Combined with our unmetered bandwidth, you can serve media directly from your storage server without worrying about CDN costs or bandwidth overages.

Storage Server Configurations

Our entry-level storage server features a 12-bay chassis with 4x 8 TB enterprise HDDs in RAID 10 (16 TB usable), an Intel Xeon E-2236 processor, 32 GB ECC RAM, and a 512 GB NVMe boot/cache drive. This configuration provides a solid starting point for small file hosting platforms, personal media servers, or backup repositories with room to add up to 8 more drives as your capacity needs grow.

Mid-range storage servers come with a fully populated 12-bay chassis: 12x 16 TB enterprise HDDs in RAID 6 (160 TB usable) with an AMD EPYC 7313P processor, 64 GB ECC RAM, and dual NVMe SSDs for the operating system and ZFS cache. This configuration handles serious storage workloads — multi-user file hosting platforms, large media libraries, or enterprise backup repositories with years of data retention.

Our maximum-density storage server uses a 24-bay chassis populated with 24x 20 TB drives in RAID 6 (440 TB usable), dual NVMe SSDs for ZFS SLOG and L2ARC, an AMD EPYC 7443P processor, and 128 GB ECC RAM. This is our highest-capacity single-server offering, suitable for large-scale archival storage, massive media libraries, or any application that needs hundreds of terabytes in a single, manageable system. All storage servers include 1 Gbps unmetered bandwidth, full root access, and IPMI management.
