Managed Privacy VPS — Expert Administration, Full Privacy
Not everyone wants to manage their own server. AnubizHost managed privacy VPS combines our full suite of privacy protections — no logs, no KYC, encrypted storage, cryptocurrency payments — with expert server management. We handle OS updates, security patches, performance optimization, and monitoring while maintaining the same strict privacy boundaries that define all our services.

Privacy-Preserving Server Management
The challenge of managed hosting in a privacy context is that traditional server management requires extensive access to the customer's system. System administrators typically have root access, can read log files, inspect running processes, and view network connections. This level of access is fundamentally incompatible with privacy hosting.
AnubizHost managed privacy VPS solves this problem through carefully scoped management access and automated tooling. Our management systems use purpose-limited service accounts that can apply updates, restart services, and monitor resource utilization without accessing your data, your application, or your traffic.
Security updates are applied through automated systems that download patches from verified sources and install them according to a tested schedule. Monitoring uses agent-based collection of system metrics (CPU, RAM, disk, network throughput) without inspecting the content of your traffic or the data on your disk. Our human administrators interact with your server only when automated systems cannot resolve an issue, and even then their access is logged, time-limited, and scoped to the specific issue.
What Managed Includes
Our managed privacy VPS service covers the essential server administration tasks that keep your system secure and performant. Operating system updates and security patches are applied on a regular schedule with emergency patches deployed within hours of release for critical vulnerabilities. Kernel updates are applied with minimal-downtime reboot scheduling.
Basic server hardening is included: SSH configuration with key-only authentication, firewall setup with sensible defaults, automatic security updates enabled, and unused services disabled. We configure log rotation, disk monitoring with alerts for capacity thresholds, and automated backups to encrypted storage.
Performance monitoring tracks CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network utilization with alerting for abnormal patterns. If your server shows signs of resource exhaustion, performance degradation, or hardware issues, our team is notified and responds proactively. All monitoring data is retained only for operational purposes and is not used for any form of customer profiling or surveillance.
What Managed Does Not Include
Privacy-preserving management necessarily has boundaries that conventional managed hosting does not. Our managed service does not include application-level management — we do not configure your web server, database, or application stack because doing so would require access to your data and configuration that violates our privacy principles.
We do not read your log files, inspect your database contents, or analyze your application's behavior. If you need application-level support, we can provide guidance and recommendations, but we will not access your application data directly. You retain full root access and are responsible for your application stack.
This boundary actually benefits most customers. You get the tedious but critical OS-level maintenance handled by experts, while retaining full control and privacy over your application layer. It is the best of both worlds: professional infrastructure management without sacrificing the privacy that brought you to AnubizHost in the first place.
Getting Started With Managed Privacy VPS
Managed privacy VPS is available as an add-on to any AnubizHost VPS plan. Select the managed option during checkout, or add it to an existing server through your control panel. The managed service fee is added to your regular VPS billing and can be paid with the same cryptocurrency methods.
After enabling managed service, our automated systems begin monitoring your server and applying updates. An initial hardening pass configures basic security settings according to our privacy-preserving standards. You receive a summary of what was configured and can customize any settings that do not match your requirements.
Communication about your managed service is handled through our encrypted ticketing system. You can open tickets to request specific changes, ask questions about management actions, or report issues. Support tickets are handled by technical staff who have access only to the system metrics and management tools relevant to your request — never to your data or application.
