Mempool Relay Node Hosting
A mempool relay node is a Bitcoin Core full node tuned for maximum mempool capacity and aggressive peer relay. Useful for fee estimation services, transaction broadcasting infrastructure, and operators who care about mempool observability. AnubizHost provisions tuned relay nodes on NVMe from $140/mo.

What Makes a Relay Node
Default Bitcoin Core mempool is 300MB. A relay node typically lifts this to 1-4GB (maxmempool=4000), enables larger peer counts (maxconnections=200), and runs txindex=1 for transaction lookup. The result: better mempool visibility and faster propagation.
Hardware Implications
A 4GB mempool needs at least 32GB system RAM to leave headroom for the UTXO set and OS. Our standard 16GB plan is workable for 1-2GB mempool; lift to 32GB for serious relay operation.
Use Cases
Wallet broadcast endpoints (broadcasting from your own node rather than a public one), fee estimation backends, mempool analytics, RBF tracking research, mining pool tx selection inputs.
Operational Notes
High maxconnections increases inbound bandwidth. Plan for 200-500GB outbound monthly on heavily-connected relay nodes. Our 1Gbps unmetered covers this comfortably.
Buy
$140/mo base, +$20 for 32GB upgrade. See Mempool.space frontend, archival.
