Mumble achieves under 50 ms one way latency on a properly configured server with Opus codec. For real time music collaboration, esports calls and tactical gaming voice, this matters. The Mumble protocol uses positional audio that can be integrated with game plugins (Arma, DCS, EVE Online) for spatial voice based on player position.
