Why Finland for Audio Privacy
Finland has the strongest ISP-side privacy posture in the EU and a documented history of resisting data retention expansion. For B2B customers running transcription of patient calls, legal depositions, journalistic interviews, or HR investigations, the legal posture of the storage layer matters more than the compute layer.
This architecture: audio enters via the Finnish API endpoint, gets stored on the Finnish VPS, gets streamed to the Netherlands 4090 for inference (with WireGuard encryption in transit), transcript returns to Finland and is stored there. The inference side stores nothing - audio bytes flow through GPU memory and never touch persistent storage.

Architecture and Data Flow
Client uploads audio to FI endpoint via HTTPS. Audio is encrypted at rest on FI disk (LUKS). When ready to transcribe, FI service streams audio chunks via WireGuard to NL Faster-Whisper service. NL processes audio in GPU memory, returns transcript text via WireGuard. FI stores transcript, deletes or retains audio per your retention policy.
The NL side processes audio in-memory only. nvidia-smi will show GPU memory containing audio tensors briefly. RAM and NVMe on NL are not used for audio storage.
Compliance and B2B Posture
For B2B customers requiring a Finland-located data processor, this satisfies the requirement. The processor (your transcription endpoint) is in FI; the inference sub-processor is in NL with a DPA.
