Offshore VPS for a Cjdns Public Node
Cjdns is an encrypted mesh networking protocol that underpins Hyperboria, a long-running experimental mesh internet. Public nodes accept peer connections from anyone with valid cjdns credentials. Running a stable public cjdns node on an offshore VPS contributes to a small but durable alternative network. This page describes hosting one.

Cjdns basics
Cjdns assigns each node an IPv6 address derived from its public key. Routing happens through a source-routed encrypted protocol. Public nodes publish a public peer credential block that any other cjdns instance can use to connect. Resource use is light. Network use is moderate. Operationally, a public node is a small, durable contribution.
Install and sizing
Build cjdns from upstream source on Ubuntu LTS (the project ships a build script). Generate a cjdroute.conf, configure UDP peers, publish your public peer credential to the Hyperboria community. 1 vCPU 1 GB RAM is enough for a basic public node. A 2 vCPU 4 GB plan gives headroom for additional services or higher peer counts.
Anubiz binding
Anubiz offshore VPS plans from $17.90/mo. Cjdns benefits from topological diversity - new public peers in regions with few existing public peers are most useful. Crypto payment, no KYC. Internal links: /en/hosting-for-yggdrasil-network-node, /en/hosting-for-mesh-network-node.
Community norms
The Hyperboria and cjdns communities are small. Read the wiki, join the chat (which itself runs over Hyperboria), and be a courteous peer - announce planned downtime, keep your node up to date, do not flood the network with malformed traffic.
