Neo4j Graph Database Hosting on Offshore VPS
Neo4j is the leading graph database, used for fraud detection, social network analysis, recommendation engines, identity graphs and knowledge graphs. Neo4j AuraDB is the managed offering with limited free tier and quickly scaling paid tiers. Our offshore Neo4j hosting gives you a dedicated VPS where you install Neo4j Community Edition 5.x with full root, NVMe storage tuned for the page cache spillover, and dedicated RAM sized for the heap and page cache. Deployed in Iceland, Romania or the Netherlands with crypto-only billing.
Heap and Page Cache Sizing
Neo4j performance depends on two memory pools, the JVM heap which holds transaction state and query plans, and the page cache which holds the graph data files. Best practice is to size the page cache slightly larger than the total size of your graph data on disk, so that the entire graph stays resident and traversal queries never hit disk. Our dedicated RAM VPS plans range up to 64 GB, comfortably hosting graphs with hundreds of millions of nodes and relationships. The heap should be sized around 8 to 16 GB for most workloads, leaving the remainder for the page cache. These values are configured in neo4j.conf with no managed-service guardrails.
Causal Cluster and Offshore Privacy
For high availability Neo4j Enterprise offers Causal Clustering with Raft consensus on the core servers and asynchronous read replicas. Community Edition runs as a single instance which is sufficient for many production workloads when paired with regular backups to a second offshore VPS in a different country. Graph data often encodes the most sensitive relationships in a business, customer connections, financial flows, identity links. Storing it on US cloud exposes it to compulsory disclosure. Our Iceland, Romania and Netherlands locations require domestic court orders, and crypto-only billing keeps your deployment off the commercial paper trail.
