Headless Browser VPS for Automation and Scraping
Headless Chromium and Firefox are the backbone of modern web automation - scraping JavaScript-rendered pages, automating OAuth flows, generating PDFs from HTML, end-to-end testing. Running them at scale needs a server with enough RAM, NVMe storage for browser state, and a clean datacenter IP. AnubizHost offers offshore VPS pre-tuned for headless browser workloads with crypto-only billing.

Resource Profile for Headless Chromium and Firefox
Each headless Chromium instance consumes 150 to 300MB of RAM under typical scraping load, more for complex pages with heavy JavaScript or many tabs. A 4GB VPS comfortably runs 10 to 15 parallel browsers, an 8GB VPS handles 25 to 35, and a 16GB VPS sustains 50 to 70. CPU is rarely the bottleneck unless you are doing heavy DOM extraction in JavaScript - then you want at least 4 vCPU for 30 plus browsers.
NVMe storage matters because each browser writes a user-data-dir with cookies, cache, and IndexedDB state. SATA SSDs become the bottleneck around 20 parallel browsers because random write throughput is too low. Our nodes use enterprise NVMe (Samsung PM9A3 or equivalent) for sustained IOPS that handle dozens of parallel browser instances without I/O wait spikes.
Chromium and Firefox Dependencies Preinstalled
Most cloud VMs come without GUI libraries, so Chromium fails to start until you debug missing libnss3, libatk-bridge2.0-0, libgbm1, libxshmfence1, fonts-liberation, and similar dependencies. We preinstall the full Chromium and Firefox dependency stack on our Debian and Ubuntu images. Your first npx playwright install browsers completes in seconds, not after an afternoon of apt-get debugging.
We also configure Xvfb (virtual framebuffer) for tests that need a non-headless mode but no real display. systemd timers, cron, and supervisord work natively for scheduled browser jobs. Docker Compose stacks with browserless/chrome, selenoid/chrome, or your own custom image are well-tested on our nodes. Memory and PID limits are tunable to keep runaway browsers from OOM-killing the box.
Clean Datacenter IPs and Offshore Crypto Billing
Headless browser traffic is one of the most heavily fingerprinted patterns on the web. Cloudflare, Akamai, and DataDome all flag datacenter ranges aggressively. Our IP pools are curated to stay out of major bot databases when possible - mixed LIR-assigned ranges from Romania, Iceland, Finland, and Ukraine. Most are not pre-flagged. For higher anonymity you chain through residential proxies on the application layer (which our outbound network fully supports).
Crypto billing keeps the operator identity private. Bitcoin, Monero, USDT TRC20, Ethereum, Litecoin all accepted. Monthly renewal, no KYC, no real name required. Setup from payment to working VPS is typically 15 minutes. Our offshore datacenters in Iceland, Romania, and Finland have stronger free-speech and commercial privacy laws than US-based hosting. Browser automation is welcomed as long as the target activity is legal.
