Windows Server 2019 and 2022 are supported. BYOL licenses are available from volume licensing programs, authorized resellers, or Microsoft's own channels. The key is entered during OS installation - a step you perform yourself via the remote console after provisioning.

Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) access is available on all Windows VPS plans. After provisioning, connect via RDP using the IP address and credentials delivered to your account email. Configure RDP to use a non-standard port and enable Network Level Authentication (NLA) for improved security. Restrict RDP access by IP using Windows Firewall rules or our network-level firewall control panel.

For maximum security, avoid exposing RDP directly to the internet. Consider tunneling RDP over SSH or setting up a VPN gateway on the same VPS. This combination provides encrypted RDP access through an additional authentication layer.
