EVM-compatible smart contracts with native RBTC (Bitcoin-pegged) as gas token. Merge-mined with Bitcoin, so Bitcoin miners optionally mine RSK blocks at the same time. Two-way peg with Bitcoin mainnet via federated bridge.
Resource Requirements
RSK chain is larger than Liquid but smaller than Ethereum. ~200GB current state. Java-based node (rskj) has heavier memory footprint than Bitcoin Core. 16GB RAM is workable; 32GB recommended for archive nodes.
