Russia's Roskomnadzor has blocked 439+ VPN services. Iran's filternet detects and blocks standard VPN protocols. China's Great Firewall identifies OpenVPN and WireGuard traffic within minutes. Turkey blocks commercial VPN IP ranges during protests.
The problem? Commercial VPNs use well-known protocols (OpenVPN, WireGuard, IKEv2) that Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) systems can fingerprint and block. Their IP addresses are on public lists, making them easy targets.
VLESS+Reality is different. It's the latest anti-censorship protocol that disguises VPN traffic as normal HTTPS connections to legitimate websites. DPI systems see what looks like regular web browsing - not a VPN connection. Current bypass rate: 99.5% even against Russia's TSPU and China's GFW.
