Electrs Server Hosting on Bitcoin VPS
Electrs is a Rust-based Electrum server that indexes the full Bitcoin chain to serve any wallet, not just preconfigured descriptors. It is faster and lighter than ElectrumX and powers many production deployments. AnubizHost hosts Electrs alongside Bitcoin Core archival from $140/mo with NVMe storage.

We implement, you ship. Async, documented, done in days.
Electrs vs Alternatives
Electrs (the romanrenz/blockstream variant) is the most common self-host choice. It indexes the full Bitcoin chain into RocksDB and exposes Electrum protocol. Storage cost: ~100GB on top of the Bitcoin chain.
Compared to Fulcrum, Electrs is more memory-efficient but slower at the initial indexing step. Compared to ElectrumX (Python), it is dramatically faster and more reliable.
Hardware Match
Electrs needs an archival Bitcoin Core underneath plus 100GB extra for its own index. Our 1TB NVMe handles this with growth headroom. 16GB RAM is more than enough for Electrs caching.
Setup We Ship
Bitcoin Core archival pre-synced or in-progress, Electrs systemd unit, RPC auth pre-wired between Electrs and bitcoind, Electrum protocol exposed on 127.0.0.1:50001 (electrum-tls on 50002 with self-signed cert). You harden from there.
Tor Integration
Pair with a Tor hidden service to expose Electrs as a .onion endpoint. Your wallets connect over Tor without revealing your server IP. We pre-stage the Tor config; you decide whether to publish or keep private.
Buy
$140/mo. See EPS single-user alternative, Fulcrum, archival mode.
