.onion Domain Hosting - Tor Hidden Service Infrastructure

.onion domains are special addresses accessible only through the Tor network. Unlike traditional domains registered through ICANN registrars, .onion addresses are generated cryptographically and do not appear in any public WHOIS database. Hosting a .onion domain means running a Tor hidden service that serves web content to visitors connecting through Tor Browser.

AnubizHost's .onion hosting provides the complete infrastructure for running a Tor hidden service: a hardened server with Tor pre-installed, automatic .onion address generation, web server configuration, and ongoing monitoring to ensure your hidden service stays reachable. You get a fully functional .onion website without needing to configure Tor yourself.

Our .onion hosting is used by news organizations providing censorship-resistant access to their content, privacy-focused businesses offering Tor-accessible services, communities that need a surveillance-free communication platform, and individuals who want a web presence that is fundamentally disconnected from the clearnet identity system.

Running a reliable Tor hidden service requires specific expertise: Tor configuration tuning, security hardening against de-anonymization attacks, performance optimization for the unique latency characteristics of the Tor network, and ongoing maintenance as Tor protocols evolve. AnubizHost's managed .onion hosting handles all of this so you can focus on your content.

Every managed .onion hosting plan includes automatic Tor software updates, security patches applied within hours of disclosure, proactive monitoring via Tor circuits, and automatic service recovery if your hidden service becomes unreachable. Our team monitors Tor Project security advisories continuously and applies relevant patches before vulnerabilities can be exploited.

We also handle the complexity of v3 onion services, which use longer addresses but provide stronger cryptographic security than the deprecated v2 protocol. Our provisioning system generates v3 .onion addresses, configures the necessary cryptographic keys, and publishes your hidden service descriptor to the Tor network automatically.

Standard .onion v3 addresses are 56-character strings of seemingly random characters, making them difficult for users to remember or verify. AnubizHost offers vanity .onion address generation, which produces addresses starting with a recognizable prefix of your choice - your brand name, a keyword, or any custom string up to 8 characters.

Vanity addresses serve both branding and security purposes. A recognizable prefix helps your users verify they have navigated to your authentic .onion site rather than a phishing mirror. This is particularly important for services where trust is critical, such as secure communication platforms, financial services, or whistleblowing portals.

Our vanity generation service uses GPU-accelerated computation to find matching .onion addresses efficiently. Short prefixes (4 to 5 characters) can be generated within hours, while longer prefixes (6 to 8 characters) may take several days. Once generated, the cryptographic keys for your vanity address are delivered securely through encrypted channels and permanently deleted from our systems.

AnubizHost's .onion hosting plans start at affordable monthly rates that include a pre-configured server, Tor hidden service setup, web server, SSD storage, and monitoring. Higher-tier plans add more storage, bandwidth, database hosting, and features like OnionBalance load balancing for high-traffic .onion sites.

All plans include anonymous signup with no identity verification, cryptocurrency payments, automatic Tor updates, and our zero-logging guarantee. There are no hidden fees for Tor configuration, .onion address generation, or the ongoing maintenance that keeps your hidden service running smoothly.

We also offer custom .onion hosting solutions for organizations with specific requirements, such as multi-server deployments, OnionBalance configurations for high availability, integration with existing clearnet infrastructure, and custom security hardening.
