Why EtherCalc Over Cryptpad Sheet
EtherCalc is older and more performance-focused for non-secret data; Cryptpad Sheet is zero-knowledge but slower on large grids. Pick EtherCalc for shared logistics, ops dashboards and inventory; pick Cryptpad Sheet for any sheet containing secrets.

Deployment

Encryption Truth
Not zero-knowledge. Server sees sheet contents. At-rest encryption is full disk only. Treat EtherCalc as suitable for non-secret collaborative data; use Cryptpad Sheet when secrets are involved.
Auth
EtherCalc has no native auth. Put HTTP basic auth at Caddy, or front with an OAuth2 proxy if you want SSO.
