Layered Security
SIP TLS for signalling, SRTP for media, ZRTP for endpoint-to-endpoint key agreement. The PBX cannot decrypt media that uses ZRTP if it does not transcode. For workloads that need true end-to-end voice encryption without trusting the PBX operator, this is the standard architecture.
