Why Anubiz Host
Six reasons clients leave AWS, Hetzner, and DigitalOcean for us - offshore jurisdictions, crypto-only checkout, DMCA-ignored posture, Romania legal clarity, no-KYC signup, and operator-run nodes. Each section links to the full topic cluster.
Why offshore?
Offshore hosting is not about hiding crime. It is about choosing a jurisdiction whose courts, copyright regime, and political climate match your threat model. When your servers sit in Romania, Iceland, or Finland, a US takedown notice has no legal force - the host has nothing to enforce. That same logic protects journalists from oligarch lawsuits, researchers from frivolous C&D letters, and businesses from competitor abuse reports. Anubiz operates bare metal nodes in six core countries chosen for legal predictability, network quality, and operator independence. You pick the jurisdiction that fits the workload, not the one your cloud provider defaulted you into.
Why crypto pay?
Credit cards leak your identity, your billing address, and your bank to the hosting provider, the card network, and any subpoena that lands on their desk. Crypto payments do not. Anubiz accepts Bitcoin, Monero, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Lightning - Monero in particular leaves no on-chain trail back to the buyer. We do not require a name on the invoice, and we do not phone-verify the wallet that paid. For one-off DevOps work we accept crypto only because chargebacks on cards are a vector we will not absorb. Pay once, get your server, no recurring authorization sitting in some processor database.
Why DMCA-ignored?
DMCA is a US statute. Outside the US it has no automatic legal weight, only diplomatic weight - and most offshore operators give it none. Anubiz nodes in Romania, Iceland, Finland, Netherlands, and Ukraine route DMCA complaints through real legal review instead of a panic compliance bot. Frivolous notices get rejected. Bulletproof posture covers legal-but-controversial content: leaks journalism, security research, adversarial archives, adult content where legal, and political speech that mainstream clouds deplatform. We do not host CSAM, malware command-and-control, phishing, or active fraud - those get pulled fast and the operator gets banned.
Why Romania?
Romania is the quietest legal jurisdiction in the EU for hosting. It is inside the single market so bandwidth and connectivity are first-class, but its courts and ISPs do not enforce DMCA, do not respond to foreign takedown letters without a Romanian court order, and have no mandatory data retention regime that survives constitutional review. Our Bucharest node runs on owned hardware in a Tier III facility with operator staff we control, not a reseller chain. For most clients moving off Hetzner or OVH, Romania is the drop-in replacement that keeps EU latency while removing the German and French compliance overhead.
Why no-KYC?
Know-Your-Customer is a banking regulation. It does not apply to selling computing capacity. Most hosts collect ID, selfies, and phone numbers anyway because their payment processor demands it or because they are too lazy to push back. Anubiz does not. Signup needs an email address. Payment needs a wallet. That is the entire onboarding flow. No selfie holding your passport, no utility bill, no phone OTP that ties your server to a SIM card. If you need an anonymous VPS for a Tor hidden service, a research project, a backup of an at-risk archive, or simply because privacy is the default you grew up expecting from the internet, the door is open.
Why us specifically vs competitors?
Three things separate Anubiz from the dozen other offshore providers you have probably already tried. First, owned hardware - we operate the nodes ourselves in most locations, not as a reseller layer, so abuse decisions and uptime live on our side of the wall. Second, real support - tickets get answered by operators who can SSH into the box, not a tier-one script. Third, durable pricing - we do not run bait-and-switch renewal hikes. The testimonials and side-by-side comparisons below cover specific migrations from AWS, Hetzner, DigitalOcean, and the usual offshore competitors, with numbers attached.
