Deployment
Official etherpad/etherpad:latest image. MariaDB sidecar or SQLite for small instances. Set DB_TYPE=mariadb, DB_HOST, DB_USER, DB_PASS. Caddy front terminating TLS.
Plugins
ep_headings2, ep_comments_page, ep_align, ep_font_color, ep_image_upload are the standard set. ep_authorship_toggle for editorial review. Install via Etherpad admin panel.
Auth
Built-in users config in settings.json. For SSO use the ep_oauth2 plugin pointing at Keycloak or Authentik.
Encryption Truth
Not zero-knowledge. Server reads pad contents. At-rest is full disk encryption only.
Backups
MariaDB dump nightly, restic to Anubiz Host Iceland. 14/8/12.
