Bulletproof Hosting with Web Control Panel - Manage Your Server Easily

AnubizHost servers support self-installed control panels. We provide the server with root access, and you install your preferred control panel software. This approach gives you complete control over which panel you use and how it is configured, rather than being locked into a specific panel that the hosting provider has pre-installed and may have customized in ways that conflict with your needs.

HestiaCP is the recommended free option. It is open-source, well-maintained, and does not have geographic license restrictions that affect offshore hosting contexts. DirectAdmin is a solid commercial option at low cost with good feature coverage for shared hosting and reseller hosting use cases. Both install via straightforward scripts on supported Linux distributions.

Alternative options include ISPConfig (free, complex, enterprise-oriented), Webmin/Virtualmin (free, broad feature set), and Froxlor (free, lightweight). Each panel has different feature sets and user experience characteristics. Choose based on your familiarity and feature requirements.

HestiaCP provides a clean, modern interface for managing web hosting infrastructure. Key features include: website management with DNS zone configuration, email account creation with spam filtering, MySQL and PostgreSQL database management, SSL certificate automation via Let's Encrypt, file manager for web-accessible file management, and backup scheduling with remote backup support.

Installation on Ubuntu 22.04 or Debian 12 completes in under fifteen minutes via the official installation script. The script detects your system configuration, installs all required dependencies (Nginx, Apache, PHP-FPM, Postfix, Dovecot, named), and configures the panel. After installation, the admin interface is accessible on a dedicated port via HTTPS.

HestiaCP's user management supports multiple accounts, making it suitable for resellers who manage hosting for their own clients. Each user account gets isolated file storage, separate database access, and configurable resource limits. The admin account manages all users from a single interface.

Control panels simplify routine server management tasks - creating websites, adding email accounts, configuring databases - but add overhead and occasionally limit advanced configuration. For operators who primarily manage standard web hosting workloads, a control panel saves significant time. For operators who run custom application stacks with non-standard configurations, the command line often provides more flexibility.

The good news on AnubizHost servers: control panels do not remove root access. You can install HestiaCP for routine management while still SSH-ing directly to the server for advanced configuration that the panel does not support. The panel and the command line coexist rather than one replacing the other.

Some control panels conflict with custom configurations made directly through command-line editing. If you plan to use a control panel alongside manual configuration, understand which configuration files the panel manages and avoid editing those files outside the panel. Panel-managed configurations get overwritten on panel updates if you have modified them directly.

Order your AnubizHost server with your preferred Linux distribution - Ubuntu 22.04 LTS is recommended for HestiaCP compatibility. Pay with cryptocurrency, no KYC. After provisioning, connect via SSH and run the HestiaCP installation script from the official website. The installation takes fifteen to twenty minutes and completes without additional user input after configuration choices are entered at the start.

After panel installation, complete basic hardening: change the admin password from the generated default, configure the firewall to restrict panel access to your IP address, and set up Let's Encrypt for the panel's own HTTPS certificate. These steps take ten additional minutes and significantly improve the panel's security posture.

VPS from $19.99/mo with 4GB RAM comfortably runs HestiaCP with several active websites. Reseller hosting operations with many active accounts may need more RAM and storage - contact our team for a resource recommendation based on your planned account count and traffic levels.
