Setup
apt install certbot python3-certbot-nginx (or apache). certbot --nginx -d yourdomain.com. Done. Auto-renew runs via systemd timer twice daily.
Wildcard Certificates
Wildcard certs require DNS-01 challenge. Use certbot with DNS plugin for your registrar (Cloudflare, Route 53, custom).
Rate Limits
Let's Encrypt enforces 50 certs per registered domain per week, 5 duplicates per week. Sufficient for normal operations, but plan ahead for bulk issuance.
