obfs4 Bridge VPS in Romania

obfs4 wraps Tor cells in a randomized cover stream that is statistically indistinguishable from random binary data. State censors blocking by deep packet inspection cannot fingerprint obfs4 the way they fingerprint vanilla TLS-on-9001. Romania bridge VPS ship with obfs4proxy preinstalled.

Listening on 443 is intentional: censors are less likely to block 443 wholesale. The obfs4 stream is application-layer-indistinguishable from generic encrypted traffic on that port.

Our Romania bridge IP pool is segregated from our general-purpose VPS pool. Bridge IPs have not been published to BridgeDB and are not on any historical exit-IP scrape. This gives a fresh-IP advantage of weeks to months before any censor learns the IP.

If your IP eventually gets listed by a censor, we rotate to a new bridge IP for a nominal fee. Most operators rotate two to four times per year.

Operators choose between PublishServerDescriptor bridge (BridgeDB-discoverable via the standard reachability channels) or PublishServerDescriptor 0 (fully private, distributed out-of-band to a known user community). Private bridges last longer per IP because censors cannot enumerate them.
