What the Guard Flag Requires
The Guard flag is assigned by directory authorities after a relay has been measured stable for the WMTBF (weighted mean time between failures) threshold, typically around 96 hours of accumulated uptime measurement, and has observed bandwidth above the median fast-relay threshold. Stable+Fast+Guard relays take several weeks to qualify from cold start.
