Latency Reality
Voice over Tor adds 200 to 500 ms latency compared to clearnet voice. For casual conversation acceptable; for fast-paced gaming or precise turn-taking it is noticeable. Mumble's voice codec is robust enough to maintain intelligibility through this latency.
Configuration
murmurd bound to 127.0.0.1:64738 with strong cert pinning. Tor HiddenServicePort maps onion 64738 to it. Clients use Tor SOCKS to reach the onion.
